I’ve practiced the one-handed windlass twist a few times and it’s reassuringly smooth, even with sweaty palms. The strap’s friction keeps it locked down tight, and knowing it was validated by the U.S. Army’s research makes me feel a lot better about having it in my kit.

Took it out of the package and immediately ran through the one-handed windlass tightening with my left hand—the clip held secure on the first try. Feels sturdy enough to trust in a real emergency, and the whole setup is simple enough that I don’t need to fumble with instructions when it counts.

Practiced a full application with one hand tied behind my back, and the windlass locked tight enough to stop my pulse at the wrist. The patented design really does hold its position without slipping, even when I yanked the strap hard. Feels sturdy and reassuring to have in my go-bag.
